Waiting

Waiting

Why do my expectations insist on your coming…?
There is no promise that you must abide by…
Only I hold onto such whims so dearly
As if I am to be with you no matter what…

What did I know that the future was so gleam…?
That days of so many joys would be numbered
that sadness was thicker and stronger…
Just as the forest grows denser in the brush…
My love has not failed in spite of the darkness…
I’m fighting to keep the light alive…
Not for long… Not for long…
Just enough…  Till my breath holds

Cherry flowers bloom, blossom, and wither…
My love will stand the test of time.
