It’s crazy how when we were young.
The more our weight was, the prouder we were,
More sleepless hours, more choices made by parents,
More free time, more school assignments,
Closer with teachers, more time with people,
And the merrier we were!
Now that we have grown up, we wish:
We had that so called perfect weight,
Wish we could sleep a little bit more,
Choices of our own,
The not-so close relation with teachers,
Not so many assignments, less time with others,
Cause the expectations and pressures muddle up our thoughts.
We do want more time in solace,
More love, more freedom, more happiness…
Then we were young; now maybe we have grown up.
Then we were obliged for ‘the more’
Now we are obliged by those more.
As if now the more have become the less.
The less have become more.
We are obliged for the less.
Now it’s like the questions-
What has changed?
What’s still the same?
Means quite similar.
But is it the same?
