Increasing dissent, rising communalism, religious intolerance, sectarian policies and majoritarianism are in sharp contrast with the basic tenets of democracy: A democracy, where all the members of the society must be equal. Can democracy be toppled? What can we do to change this? Can democracy be a self-evolving political practice?
Can we accept the differences?
Questioning a person about their color/creed/weight/height is considered rude. Similarly, asking an introverted person ‘why they are silent’ is the worst way to start a conversation.
