She patted me on my head,
When I did win. And,
Didn’t have to speak what fancied me.
Held me up if I was smeared.
Gave me a hug when I was hurt.
She made me still when broken;
And seized a talk to engage me.
I embraced her for that, and thought
Happiness was so!
But it took a turning point
Growing with my age.
Started hating the way she did earlier
And mended up to exclude me from her.
Didn’t like the way she did enquire.
The way she did shield.
And this is what I got to read heartily
With the volume of her heart:
Said, the heart to the mind.
Staggering was the mind to
Ask the heart,
“Why are you so happy then?
Taking on the path she did choose?
Thinking of the time she did spend,
Humming on the talk she had,
Accepting the way it went on?”
Enchanting a smile it said happily,
“Cause I now know,
The meaning of happiness!”
