A new journey started
When I became a teacher
Oh, how many new people I met
With a new campus to familiarize
And so many students to teach!
In a school molded by students,
Teachers and staff alike
This jumble of people
Soon became another amazing family to me.
All the incidents I had as a student; now reversed.
A decade ago
Those memories of the school days
Sitting on benches
Staring at teachers
Wondering, how easy it was for them…
To cut marks with glee,
To scold children with a fierceness
And to give the hardest homework even Einstein couldn’t solve…..
But the worst of all was the exams.
But now, how the roles have reversed,
A decade later
Enacting that role that I dreaded the most
My new journey and my new family
My new experiences and my new lessons
Teaching me the importance of
Different roles played by different people
I can call it a complete process
You can call it the cycle of life
Unknown to everybody
Now, I can confidently say
What we don’t expect gets thrown into our face…
Just to know life in a finer way!!!
