Answers, I’m still finding…

answers finding

To rebel and still belong
I wonder is this what it takes, to belong
I know no other way, but what will it take?
I will not count penance, I am what I am

To let go, and yet love
It’s proven to be hard, unnerving
It’s right there in front of me, yet I grasp
It’s gone

To say no, confident in my course
right and wrong,
black and white,
consequence

To cordiality, in the face of repugnance
fists clenched, smile beaming
jaw tightened, eyes wide
toes curling, elevating to a higher plane

To care enough, to turn away
a part of me is still there
a part of you is still mine
but something is still missing

cloud

To listen to the whisper, even in the storm
silent, fragile, palpable
buried, washed away, yet resilient
amongst the crashing waves and stormy clouds, a light

And to be me, while still being me!
