Waking up at seven
looking at the news
“Eight killed, five injured,
in an elaborate kidnapping ruse.”
Traveling to work
Stopping at the red light
inhaling enough smoke
keeping the road out of sight!
Children begging
for food and water
Vehicles honking,
to reach their destinations faster…
But only to go sit
in their air-conditioned office
To provide even more profits
to the rich and the lawless!
Humans fight over
everything they can…
Faith, belief
Money and land!
Making endless demands
Is a part of human nature
But they enjoy it the most
when the poor do all the labor!
We never give a thought
About all who suffers
But we always make sure
To have clothes of every color!
Everyone prays to go to heaven
But humans don’t belong there
Yet we can’t go to hell
Because we’re already there!
